Ventilator-induced lung injury (VILI) is associated with higher mortality in patients who are managed with mechanical ventilation. VILI can occur via invasive or non-invasive ventilation. This panel discussion will go into detail about what we know to date about how to mitigate VILI and potentially improve outcomes. We will discuss etiology, pathophysiology and what to do to try to avoid VILI.
